Statement of FaithI. The Inspiration of the BibleWe believe the Bible is the
verbally inspired Word of God. God has preserved His Word throughout the ages
and it remains unchanged. We prefer the King James Version for the English
language, but compare other translations for study purposes. We wholly reject books
like “The Message,” as they are paraphrases and tend to rely on opinion and interpretation rather than on
careful translation.
II. The Person of GodWe believe in the Trinity, as being one God in three
persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That God the Father is
supreme in His person, eternal in His being, absolute in His attributes, and
glorious in His perfection. We believe God is sovereign and exercises his
sovereignty over his creation according to his will alone. III. The Person of Jesus ChristWe believe in the virgin birth of
Jesus Christ and that he is the only begotten son of almighty God, His deity
and sinless life. We believe in His vicarious death, His bodily resurrection,
ascension, and His personal, promised return to receive his church which are
all who are saved by grace through faith in him alone, and He will reign on
earth as promised throughout prophecy.
IV. The Person of the Holy SpiritWe believe the Holy Spirit is the
executive of the Godhead. We believe that He executes the plan of God for our
conviction and salvation. Christians are partakers of the Holy Spirit and
empowered for service by Him. It is the Holy Spirit who makes clear the teachings of
the Bible and guides in all righteousness according to the Word of God.
V. The fall of ManWe believe that man was created in
the image of God and by choice fell into sin and death. Every person is
sinful and under condemnation to eternal judgment. Anything less than God
cannot be perfect without God.
VI.
The Salvation of SinnersWe believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace, and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Eph 2:8,9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”VII. The Freeness of SalvationWe believe that the Gospel makes
the blessings of salvation free for all men and that everyone has a choice to
accept the free gift by faith in Christ Jesus because his blood shed on the
cross was sufficient to atone for all men’s sin for all time. We believe that
nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner but his or her own
inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the Gospel.
VIII. The Security of the BelieverWe believe that those who receive
Jesus Christ as Savior are eternally secure. Our security rests on the finished
work of Jesus Christ. As result, we have assurance.
IX. The Doctrine of the ChurchWe believe that the
church
is the congregation of baptized believers, practicing New Testament principles,
believing its doctrines, observing its ordinances, and exercising its autonomy
and authority of the Bible. There are many congregations but all true Bible
believing Christians make up the body of Christ, perfectly fit
together.
X. The Doctrine of Heaven and HellWe believe in the eternal
blessedness of the saved in Heaven and the eternal punishment of the lost in
Hell. Everyone will be judged, those who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ will be cast into eternal
damnation. Those have obeyed God's command and received the Lord Jesus through faith will enter into
the everlasting kingdom of peace and dwell with Christ Jesus
eternally.
XI. Current Trends in TheologyWe stand against the current trends that lead to discrediting the Bible and undermining the fundamentals of the faith i.e. “The New Paradigm.” We consider much of the modern religious teaching to be ineffectual for true faith in Christ Jesus. Many of the teachings of this age are lifting men up and reduce the superiority of God, His Sovereignty, and the authority of the Bible in the minds of men and society, putting Christ Jesus to an open shame. We believe that God created everything in six literal days and completely, without apology reject evolutionary teaching as “doctrines of devils.”XII. Our Ministry This web site is designed to focus on Christ Jesus crucified and risen and the grace of God we have in and through Him. This is one point on which all who are true believers in Christ are united. We desire to encourage and edify our fellow believers and teach biblical ethics and attributes that ought to be exercised in the daily lives and attitudes of any person who claims to belong to Christ. Believers are commanded to preach and take the glorious Gospel to the world, therefore all of us, no matter what our station in this life, ought to preach by our actions and attitudes as well as our words.
